September 15-15 October is National Heritage Month Hispanic. Meanwhile, the country honors the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
One of the main ways in which Hispanics are making their mark by becoming small business owners. Research shows that from 190 to 2012, the number of Hispanic entrepreneurs in America more than tripled from 577,000 to over two million. This increase far exceeded population growth among the Hispanic American working age population. It also overshadowed the growth in the number of independent non-Hispanic workers during this period, which increased by only 14.0 percent, representing about a XVIII as fast as the Hispanic rate.
