What are the annual open enrollment periods?
Starting in 2014, you can only enroll in guaranteed issue individual. Health insurance during limited annual or special enrollment periods defined by the Federal Government
The purpose of this registration deadlines is to control costs - it keeps people from waiting until they are sick to purchase health insurance
There are two types of login times :. (1) for receiving times members; and (2) special enrollment periods.
As the graph above shows, the annual enrollment period is for reporting in 2015 begins November 15, 2014 and extends until 15 February 2015. During this time, you can buy any health plan on the individual Market.
If you fail to buy health insurance during the annual enrollment period, you will not need to buy to be able to cover until next year, unless you qualify for a special enrollment period.
