the east coast was a surprise snowstorm that derailed Maryland Halloween plans in Maine. Many cities need time to clean up fallen trees, limbs and power lines before it is safe for ghosts and goblins children go from house to house. Moreover, the power of recovery is still a work in progress for all communities.
This is just a teaser of upcoming events. The Insurance Information Institute has provided a breakdown of winter storm Facts. After adjusting for inflation, winter storms have caused about $ 26 billion in insured catastrophe losses since 1991, causing more than $ 1 billion per year on average damage. Last year, winter storm losses totaled $ 2.6 billion, the highest it has been since 03.
In this unprecedented storm in October of nearly a million homes have been deprived of electricity. The FDA website has tips to keep food safe during and after power outages.
