However artificial contraception, the church has always considered gravely immoral and some workers, even non-Catholics could consider sanctions or termination if birth control is used.
According to The Journal Sentinel , not everyone agrees with the hard position. Catholics for Choice believes contraceptives are basic health care. The organization believes that making patients pay full price for birth control or to get another place isn "t the right thing to do.
Wisconsin decided that all health insurance companies cover prescription drugs have to offer the same coverage for contraception. But the Catholic Church was opposed to the mandate he said he is immoral.
Three of the five dioceses in Wisconsin affected by the law. Since then, only one church switched to a self-insured health insurance plan that will not offer contraceptive coverage. the diocese of Milwaukee is going with the law while seeking a replacement cover and could eventually challenge the new law.
Some Catholic hospital systems are self-insured, which make them exempt from the law. These places usually offer contraceptive drugs when it "s required for other medical conditions, but not as a form of birth control.
It will be interesting to see how many churches change their health insurance plans of this new legislation.
